When you engage in certain activities on this site, such as profiling your company or registering for events, GDITA may ask you to provide certain information by filling out and submitting an online form. It is completely optional for you or your company to engage in these activities. If you elect to engage in these activities, however, GDITA may ask that you provide personal information, such as your first and last name, mailing address (including zip codes), e-mail address, employer, job title and department, telephone and facsimile numbers, and other personal identifying information. When registering for events on the site you may be asked to provide a credit card number. When profiling your company, GDITA may ask you to provide demographic, general business, and other more confidential information. Depending upon the activity, some of the information that we ask you to provide is identified as mandatory and some as voluntary. If you do not provide the mandatory data with respect to a particular activity, you will not be able to engage in that activity.

How your personal information is used

GDITA collects your information in order to record and support you or your organization’s participation in the programs you select. The information that you provide is also used as part of our effort to keep you informed about future events and provide other services of GDITA and selected third parties, such as an educational institution or potential buyer.

GDITA recognizes and appreciates the importance of responsible use of information collected on this site. If you do not want the information you or your company provide GDITA to be used to inform you of other events and special services available from GDITA, and you indicate this preference when you provide your personal information to GDITA, GDITA will honor your preference. In addition, GDITA may selectively provide certain information to you from other companies or organizations that have products or services we think may interest you. If you do not want to receive promotional materials regarding third party products or services, and you indicate this preference when you provide your personal information to GDITA, GDITA will honor your preference by not providing your information to such third parties. Though GDITA will not release personal or an organization’s individual record information without written consent GDITA reserves the right to provide aggregate data to third parties for statistical analysis. Such data will not be linked to any particular individuals or organizations.

The personal information that you or your organization provide in connection with registering yourself for a GDITA event or registering your organizational information is classified as Registration Information. Registration Information is protected in several ways. Access by you to your or your organization’s Registration Information is available through a password and unique customer ID selected by you. We recommend that you do not divulge your password to anyone. In addition, your Registration Information resides on a secure server that only selected GDITA personnel and contractors have access to via password.

Personal information that you provide that is not Registration Information also resides on a secure server and is only accessible via password. Since this information is not accessible from outside GDITA, you will not be asked to select a password in order to view or modify such information.

Please note that this does not include any information you or your organization post to a public bulletin board, such as the Job or resume posting or company brochure, which is available to all persons accessing that site.

Updating your personal information

You have the right to access and correct your personal or organization’s information and privacy preferences at any time. With respect to Registration Information, this may be accomplished by linking to your or your company’s account a registration record where you can view and make changes to your personal or organization’s information. Paying for GDITA membership dues and events on-line is functionality designed to provide you options concerning the privacy of your credit card information, name, address, e-mail and any other information you provide us. GDITA is committed to data security measures available through your browser called SSL encryption. Privacy related complaints

If you believe that GDITA has not complied with this Online Privacy Policy with respect to your personal information, you may write the GDITA Privacy Officer at the address above.
